PADI Deep Diver Specialty

Explore the abyss in Amed & Tulamben, Bali

Deep diver speciality

It is exciting to dive deeper. But as you go deeper, your air consumption goes up and your no-stop time goes down. Your buoyancy diminishes and you feel more the effects of Nitrogen narcosis. So to go Deep Diving with confidence at depths up to 40 meters, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.

Depth has always attracted scuba divers. Some want to explore a deep and mysterious WWII wreck. Others wish to take a picture of a huge sponge on a vertical wall or search for sharks on a deeper reef. In this course, you will get to log some deep diving experience under the care and supervision of your PADI Instructor.

You will learn how to establish and manage your personal limits to go to depths up to 40 meters. Safety and planning are key concepts in this course. Therefore, you will review with your Instructor the use of dive computers, how to plan dives and specifically deep dives as well as the use of specialized equipment. You will learn how to manage air supply and handle gas narcosis. You will also focus on buddy contact procedures and buoyancy control.

If you feel like your buoyancy or your air consumption aren’t under control yet, consider doing the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course beforehand. You will be able to reach better control and optimize your air supply.
