Marion and Charles are incredible instructors and we had the best time here. Outright one of the best experiences I've had while travelling! We signed up for the taster day consisting of two dives, which suited us as complete novices. The taster was so good we extended to then complete the Padi Open Water Diver course here. I cannot recommend it enough, our experience here was what made our trip to Amed great.

Thanks to Marion, Charles and all the support team for all the attentiveness, answering all our questions and pointing out the various incredible creatures in Amed!

I had a short time to spend in Amed and am glad I chose Bali Diversity Dive. The communication throughout was exceptional (even before I arrived). I did three gorgeous dives with them and took a refresher course. I especially loved diving with Marion because she was patient, and showed me many fish (including sea horses!) and so much beauty. I appreciated the way she cared for the coral, sometimes righting some that were upside down. It showed a real love and respect for the sea. I highly recommend!

I did a two-month PADI divemaster/instructor course at Bali Diversity, and I am glad I chose this dive center. The owner, Marion, is an exceptional diver and marine biologist, and changed the way I dive in some profound ways, correcting errors I had been making for 30 years. As a divemaster in training I was given a wide variety of assignments, assisting clients who were diving for the first time, doing their open water course, or refining their skills. The Instructor Development Course at Bali Diversity was led by Marcel, an excellent teacher with a wealth of experience, patience, and a great sense of good humor, and by the time I got to the PADI Instructor Exam I was confident that I would do well. I chose to stay at the Bali Diversity resort itself, and had a comfortable large room with breakfast included at a reasonable monthly rate, and it was very convenient to be just steps from the dive center. The dive shop is in Bunutan, and I liked the neighborhood, though it is a little removed from central Amed. With a scooter it was very easy to get around the whole Amed/Tulamben area, as well as a lot of fun, and I was glad I rented a scooter for the whole two months.

Best experience!
Marion is so much fun to dive with, so knowledgable, safe, patient. She finds you every critter and is so excited its contagious.
Ive been diving with them for 6 years and keep coming back for amazing night dives and Macro. The team is super helpful, kind and just make your experience worth it!

Dove with them for more than 2 weeks while my husband is getting certified as divemaster and instructor at this shop. Friendly staff, excellent care from drivers, and knowledgeable guides. Do your homework on Amed before coming over: macro life at its best. Dove Nitrox and with my own gear. Good communication and good vibes! Highly recommended. 🤙🏼

My partner and I had the best experience with Marion and her team! We had a single dive as I wanted to regain some confidence after a bad diving experience in Thailand. Marion couldn’t be more helpful and professional and made the diving experience a real pleasure, despite I felt so nervous before we started. Can’t wait to go back to Amed and dive with you again! We had an amazing time diving with Bali Diversity From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and passionate about diving. The equipment was top-notch and well-maintained, and safety was clearly a top priority throughout the experience.

Our dive instructor Marion was knowledgeable and patient, made sure that we felt comfortable and confident underwater. The dive sites were breathtaking — crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and an abundance of marine life. We even saw a turtle on our last dive!

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, I highly recommend this dive center. They go above and beyond to create a safe, fun, and unforgettable experience.

I decided to try scuba diving completely on a whim, with zero prior experience and more than a little nervousness. I signed up for the three-day Open Water course at Diversity in Amed, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my travels—thanks to my instructor, Ryan.

From the very beginning, Ryan struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. He was patient, reassuring, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made a huge difference as I worked through my initial fears. When I needed it, he held my hand—both physically and figuratively—to help build my confidence underwater. He never rushed a single step and made it clear that our comfort, safety were his top priorities.

What stood out most about Ryan was how intuitive and supportive he was. He created a calm, encouraging environment that allowed both me and the other student in the course to learn at our own pace. By the end of the course, I felt genuinely comfortable in the water—something I wouldn’t have imagined on day one.

The highlight was getting to dive the Liberty wreck—a sunken cargo ship where coral and fish have made their home. It was like swimming through an underwater garden, filled with life and history.

If you're considering learning to dive, I can’t recommend Diversity highly enough, and if you get the chance to learn with Ryan, take it!

We had an amazing experience trying scuba diving for the first time! Everything was clearly explained, and our instructor was fantastic—she made us feel completely safe throughout the dive. She guided us through the stunning underwater world and even recorded some incredible videos, which we received afterward as a great memory. The whole experience was super well-organized. During our break, we were provided with pancakes, water, and towels, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend this adventure!

All around very nice: rooms, dive instructors, pool, and the food. Had an amazing time here. Spent 6 nights an did 3 dive courses. Open water, nitrox, and advanced open water. 10 dives total, all in different and extraordinary places!

Bali Diversity Dive Resort was an exceptional place go and learn/experience scuba diving. Marion is a friendly French born marine biologist who runs the business and has lived and scuba dived in Indonesia for over a decade. She is a wealth of knowledge and her experience, concern for safety and loveable nature is felt in all aspects of her business and employees.

Me and my partner completed the open water certificate under the guidance of Philippine. It was fantastic, so much so, we decided to continue and complete the advanced open water course. Halfway through the advanced course my partner got sick and couldn’t equalise the pressure in her ears properly. We had a dive aborted after 15 minutes and the team at Diversity were very understanding. After two days she recovered and we continued where we left off. Thanks to the team for being patient, giving advice for appropriate medication and canceling/rescheduling on such sort notice.

We did 10 ocean dives and 1 pool session as part of our training. Each dive was amazing and seemingly better than the previous. This included 2 ship wrecks, 2 drift dives, a night dive and the Amed wall (my personal favourite). I cannot tell you how much we saw, but there were countless turtles, 2 sharks, sea snakes and every fish in Finding Nemo. Thank you so much Philippine for being the most wonderful dive instructor. Thank you to the locals helping at the resort and with all the scuba gear. Thank you Marion for having us.

We were sad to leave Amed and Bali Diversity Dive Resort after spending a week there and will be sure to come back one day. If you couldn’t already tell, I would definitely recommend scuba diving here.

This place is really professional. They are very kind and will do what is best for you. Also the communication on whatsapp was very easy. Our diving instructor Abel was also very kind and patient! I will dive with them again, if I’m back in Bali!

I had an exceptional experience at Bali Diversity, where I completed my certifications from Open Water to DiveMaster. Ines, Nico, Marion and Abel were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about diving, ensuring a thorough and enjoyable learning process. The facilities and equipment were top-quality, and the variety of dive sites—from vibrant coral reefs and fascinating shipwrecks to breathtaking underwater walls—was simply stunning. I wish I could give more stars to the amazing people who make up the team at Bali Diversity. Special shout out to Marion who heads the team. She was patient and quick to answer my many questions when booking from Australia and she was genuine, welcoming and friendly in person. A special mention to Niko, my amazing dive guide, who I named Captain Spotter for good reason. Niko was generous with his time and knowledge and was clearly so passionate about the dive sites and all the incredible creatures. He was professional and his enthusiasm was infectious and I felt so lucky to explore the many incredible dive sites around Tulamben and Amed with him. There's quite a few dive centres in the area to choose from but I can't recommend Bali Diversity enough. Cant wait to return there soon to enjoy more of their hospitality and to turn up more of Bali's weird and wonderful sea creatures

We went diving with Nico for two days and were absolutely thrilled. We were two couples with babies and small children. The diving center was absolutely accommodating and allowed us to alternate between doing the same dives. They even picked us up from the hotel and then brought us back there.
We dived the wreck once and the Pyramids the other day.
Nico was a great guide, absolutely patient with us and radiated a lot of calm underwater. All other employees and the owner were also very friendly and accommodating. The equipment was in good condition and safety was also important.
Deserved five stars.

I recently completed my rescue diver and divemaster training at Bali Diversity, during which I completed over 75 dives. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The dive sites around Amed are incredible with plenty of beautiful coral and amazing creatures to see on every trip. But most importantly, Marion is a fantastic instructor and mentor! In addition to my skill training she was able to provide me with a lot of experience assisting with discover dives, open water dives, and advanced dives. After each dive, her briefings were excellent; providing me with helpful feedback that helped me to become a confident diver and to better understand the diving industry.

Whether it’s fun dives or courses, make sure to dive with Bali Diversity! The passion the staff have for diving and the environment shines through making it an excellent experience.

Additionally, the resort itself is an amazing place to stay while in Amed. The staff were so helpful, any time I needed anything they went above and beyond.

Already looking forward to diving with Bali Diversity again soon!

Marion is everything a teacher a should be - kind, patient, experienced and someone who cares deeply that her students are both safe and enjoying themselves.

I initially signed up for the 1 day 2 Dive ‘Discover Scuba Diving’ option but quickly switched to getting my ‘PADI Open Water Diver’ certification after the first dive. The dives themselves are incredible (talk about biodiversity!) and I was so happy to be able to spend the two days with the entire Bali Diversity team. Marion, the resort staff (pick up + drop off drivers, restaurant staff etc) and the master diver in training, Tiago, made it a 10 star experience that I’ll never forget.

I would highly recommend Diversity Bali to everyone and anyone in a heartbeat 🙂

My wife and I did our open water diver course here with Ines and it was amazing! Definitely recommend Ines and Bali Diversity. The dives were great- we saw so many cool fish and we learned so much.
We also stayed at their resort, and it was extremely convenient and a very nice place to stay. Also good wifi:)

This place is absolutely perfect for (diving or not diving) holidays.
The dive crew is extra, they take care of everything for you and are patient, calm, fun and experts at what they do. The dive sites are legendary with a LOT of life, corals and fish of all colors 😍
The resort is quiet, well decorated, clean and comfortable with a big pool and a crazy view 🤩. The restaurant is delicious (we tried every dish), with big portions and a friendly and helpful staff.
We definitely recommend this place, great value for money and peaceful time! 😊

Great experience! Maria was an awesome instructor for the fun dive and really takes care of you. When the sight was bad, she recommended cancelling the fun dive. So, we postponed it to the next day. She really cares more about you having a great experience than making fast money. Thanks 🙂

I did 4 fun dives and stayed at their dive resort for 2 nights and the experience have been amazing. The dive center and resort is located at a quieter side of Amed with a beautiful view of the mountains.

Had the pleasure to dive with Didi to the Liberty Wreck and the Drop Off, and dive with Marion for a night dive (insane macro dives) and the Marina Wreck.

They have lots of love for the ocean! This is shown in the dives and how they run the operation to minimise single use plastic and unnecessary waste.

The entire Bali Diversity team has been very welcoming, and helped me out to figure out how to travel from Kuta, and give me yummy food recommendations nearby.

Definitely one of the better dive experience I have had in recent times, and would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing Diving experience with Didi and Marion @Balidiversity !
We are coming here since 4 years and the service is still the best ever had in any other dive center.
The new center got everything you need from Open Water to IDC.
Accomodation is great, service, food, staff are fantastic and the beds are perfect for my back !

Marion and Didi know so much about the marine life that we still learn even after 100+ dives here!
They also have good cameras for picture, nice for souvenirs !

We were also pleased to see that security is always a priority and we just love the entire experience we had here.

Super fun, we had an amazing time with her. They are desinfecting all the equipment after each diver, so everything is super clean no worries to have regarding covid!!
